The Front Range Consortium (FRC) National Security Scholars Program is a transformative opportunity for students interested in pursuing a career in US national security. In this program, students will participate in a year-long series of seminars, workshops, and immersive learning experiences aimed at developing the knowledge and skills required for undergraduate students to enter the US national security workforce upon graduation.Scholarship Details• Fall three-day trip to Colorado Springs visiting the U.S. Air Force Academy IFC, NORAD, U.S. Northern Command, and other defense institutions• Spring five-day trip to Washington, D.C. visiting Capitol Hill, the Pentagon, the U.S. State Department, and policy organizations• Monthly participation in online or in-person events and lectures• Requirement to publish at least one article for IFC’s Future Conflict platform or similar journal• $4,500 scholarship paid to student’s university for tuition or research upon program completion• Consideration for internships with FRC partner organizations after the scholarship yearEligibility Criteria• Full-time rising Junior or Senior at a participating FRC school• U.S. citizen• Minimum GPA of 2.75• Major in a national security-related field• Commitment to participate in all program events and travelApplication Process1. Prepare a résumé or CV2. Write a one-page cover letter explaining program impact and national security career goals3. Obtain an unofficial transcript4. Arrange for one letter of recommendation from a faculty mentor or supervisor to be sent directly to Col (ret) Erin Staine-Pyne5. Submit all materials by Monday, August 15, 2025 (11:59pm MDT) to Col (ret) Erin Staine-PyneThe FRC National Security Scholars Program is available to undergraduate students studying and researching in fields related to US national security at FRC participating universities along the Colorado Front Range.
