The Washington Media Scholars Foundation provides the opportunity for college students to gain firsthand knowledge of the public policy advertising world through scholarship and networking opportunities. The Media Fellows program is the Foundation’s essay-based scholarship program, striving to provide financial assistance to undergraduate college students with interests at the intersection of advertising and public policy. Applicants must be undergraduate students currently enrolled and attending a college or university in the United States.Successful Media Fellows Scholarship submissions include an essay that includes the student’s personal financial need statement as well as a description of their academic achievements and career aspirations, a letter of recommendation, and a professional resume. Rising freshmen are ineligible for Media Fellows Scholarships. Media Fellowships are one-time only award. We seek to support students demonstrating a combination of merit and financial need whose academic interests are at the intersection of advertising and public policy. The maximum dollar amounts will vary, and this is offered twice a year.
