AOA Student Design Scholarship

The Alpaca Owners Association, Inc. (AOA) Student Design Scholarship’s mission is to expose college-level art, fashion, and textile design students and professors to the wonders of designing with alpaca fiber. By promoting the competition, we are ensuring the next generation of designers will be entering the workforce with a positive awareness of this amazing luxury fiber that can be utilized throughout their professional lives. Scholarship Details • Designed to educate and inspire new designers about alpaca fiber • Targets college-level students in art, fashion, and textile design fields • Funded by affiliates of the Alpaca Owners Association and donors Eligibility Criteria • Open to college-level art, fashion, and textile design students • Also available to professors in relevant fields Application Process 1. Review the specific guidelines and criteria for designing with alpaca fiber 2. Submit design proposals or projects that prominently feature alpaca fiber 3. Include a brief description of your inspiration and how alpaca fiber enhances your design The entry should reflect the influence of the current design trends specified in the rules and regulations for the competition and utilize at least 50% alpaca fiber in the design.
