Canadian Scholarship

The Canadian Scholarship is available to students in Canada who are planning to pursue a bachelor's degree at any university in Canada. Students who demonstrate financial need and perserverance in overcoming adversity are welcome to apply. The Horatio Alger Association provides $2.5 million annually in need-based scholarship support for deserving students in all Canadian provinces and territories. Scholarships of up to $25,000 are awarded to full-time grade 11 high school students with financial need (family income under $80,000) who have demonstrated integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity, a commitment to pursue a post-secondary education, a desire to contribute to society, and a good academic record. Application Period: January 1 – March 31.
