Captain Miki Iwata Memorial Scholarship

The Captain Miki Iwata Memorial Scholarship is available for advanced practice nursing students who have completed at least 1 clinical nursing course. Students seeking an undergraduate or graduate degree in nursing are eligible to apply. Special consideration is given to students in the following order: 1. current active-duty and Reserve service members; 2) veterans of military service; 3) family members of current or former military service personnel; 4) civil service employees; and 5) Florida resident or Florida student. The Florida Navy Nurse Corps Association Scholarship Committee has established a fund to award scholarships to deserving nursing students and/or Registered Nurses to continue their studies for a baccalaureate or graduate degree in nursing. The amount of each award will be $1500 and will go directly to the recipient. This year (2025-26) two scholarships will be awarded in this category. Application deadline is November 14, 2025.
