Japanese Medical Society of America Scholarship
$25,000
Award AmountDec 1
DeadlineDescription
Japanese Medical Society of America Scholarship provides funding to members of the Japanese Medical Society of America (JMSA) who are working on a graduate degree in a healthcare-related field. Each year, JMSA, in partnership with generous donors, supports the education and training of students and postgraduates in various medical fields who demonstrate academic excellence and service to the Japanese community. Applicants must be currently accepted to and/or enrolled in an accredited US healthcare-related graduate program (e.g., medical, dental, nursing, graduate (Masters and/or PhD)). The scholarship must be applied to tuition for the upcoming academic year, and the applicant cannot be in their final year of school when applying. The applicant must be a member of JMSA. By submitting a single application, candidates are considered for scholarships from various donor sources, including the Honjo-JMSA, Mitsui USA-JMSA, Nippon Life-JMSA, Nishioka-JMSA, Karen Michiko Kling-JMSA, Machiko and Kazutaka Mori-JMSA, Kinichi and Toyoko Shibutani-JMSA, and MUFG-JMSA Scholarships. Award amounts have historically ranged from $2,500 to $25,000. Applicants must propose a project that supports JMSA's mission and submit at least one letter of recommendation.
