Description

The Nanook Pledge Scholarship for Non-Residents provides four years of predictable financial assistance. Selection for this scholarship is based on previous academic success and the rate of tuition for which you qualify. Students who graduate in less than four years may be eligible to use remaining years for a graduate program, with permission by the Financial Aid Office. First-year and transfer students may apply. The complete information about the amount of the award that students may receive based on their GPA is available on the school's website. Admissions applications must be submitted before the admissions deadlines of June 15 for fall and November 1 for Spring. Please visit the scholarship's website for more information. With awards ranging from $1,000 to $12,000 per year (up to $48,000 over four years), selection is based on previous high school or college GPA and the non-resident tuition rate. Recipients must be enrolled full-time (12 UAF credits) during the fall and spring semesters and must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP), meaning maintaining a GPA of 2.0+ and completing 67% of attempted classes. First-Year Students: GPA 3.8+ receive $12,000/year ($48,000 over four years); 3.5-3.79 receive $8,000/year ($32,000); 3.2-3.49 receive $5,000/year ($20,000). Transfer Students: previous college GPA 3.8+ receive $5,000/year ($20,000 over four years); 3.5-3.79 receive $3,000/year ($12,000); 3.0-3.49 receive $1,000/year ($4,000). The Nanook Pledge Scholarship can be used to cover tuition, fees, on-campus housing and meal plans, textbook and other course material costs charged to your student account. Scholarship amounts for students not living in on-campus housing may be reduced. Effective for fall 2025 and spring 2026.
