The Ritchie-Jennings Memorial Scholarship offers students the opportunity to advance their education and anti-fraud career paths. Award amounts range from $2,000 to $10,000, and recipients also receive a full year of ACFE membership. The scholarship program, established in 1992, was renamed in honor of ACFE members Larry Jennings and Tracy Ritchie, who lost their lives in a terrorist attack in Karachi, Pakistan, in 1997. Scholarship Details • Award amounts: $10,000, $7,500, $5,000, and $2,000 • Scholarship funds paid directly to the recipient’s university or college • Includes a one-year ACFE membership Eligibility Criteria • Desire to pursue a career in fraud examination or similar anti-fraud profession • Declared major or minor in accounting, business administration, finance, criminal justice, or similar fraud-related discipline • Currently enrolled at an accredited, four-year college or university through the coming academic year • Undergraduates must be enrolled in 9 semester hours (or equivalent) per term and be at least in the second half of their sophomore year when applying • Graduate students must be enrolled in 6 semester hours (or equivalent) per term Application Process 1. Complete the online scholarship application for the coming academic year. 2. Application Period Opens: September 9th 3. Application Deadline: February 7th 4. Recipients Announced: April 18th 5.
