Sharon Whaley Scholarship for Educators

The Sharon Whaley Scholarship for Educators provides financial assistance to students planning to pursue a career in teaching. Recipients are chosen for their academic standing and commitment to community service. This scholarship, offered by Atlantic Housing Foundation, awards each student $2,500 per semester to be used towards tuition, books and other education-related expenses. Recipients must attend a four-year university as a full-time student and major in education. Students must maintain a 2.5 GPA. Priority is given to Atlantic Housing residents. Family Gross Income (1040 Tax Return) must be less than 100% of HUD established medium income level for the city/county of residence. Application Deadline: February 1, 2026.
