American Australian Association Graduate Education Scholarship

The Graduate Education Scholarships support American and Australian individuals undertaking or planning to undertake full-time Graduate level study (Masters, Ph.D. or Postdoctoral Research) at an accredited institution in the Australia to USA direction or the USA to Australia direction. In order to apply, the educational program must be a minimum duration of one year or have at least one year remaining. The scholarships outlined below will provide support of up to US $40,000 for one year to those in the specialty fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Health, Medicine and Sustainability. Scholarship funds may be used toward travel, living, tuition and other associated educational costs. Eligibility • All USA to AUS applicants must be an American citizen or permanent resident (dual citizens/residents are not eligible) • Applicants must have a formal letter of offer from an accredited institution, program or course in Australia, at the time of application • Applicants must be conducting research or studying within the fields supported • Applicants must be studying at the Graduate-level or above (Masters, Ph.D. or Postdoctoral Research) • Applicants may already have commenced their studies in Australia, but must have at least one-year of full-time study left at the time of application A short list of applicants will be contacted to undertake an interview with management of the American Australian Association. These interviews will be conducted by video conference in January. Successful applicants will be notified soon thereafter. The Association's Graduate Education Scholarships support American and Australian individuals undertaking or planning to undertake full-time Graduate level study (Masters, Ph.D. or Postdoctoral Research) at an accredited institution. Association awards provide funding of up to USD $40,000 to high-calibre candidates in fields such as AI and Cyber; Biology, Medicine, and Health; Critical Minerals and Rare Earths; Defence and Defence Technology; Engineering; Mathematics; Physics, and Space. Awarded funds may be used towards tuition, living, travel, and other associated educational costs. Submission Period: Australia to USA: Open for applications from January 1 to March 31. USA to Australia: Open for applications from August 1 to September 30. Required Application Documents: High-resolution headshot & in-action study field shot (min 1MB, 300 DPI); Video presentation (max 1 minute); Passport biographic page from Australia or USA; Offer or acceptance letter from host university or research supervisor; Academic transcripts for Graduate and/or Undergraduate study; Letters of Recommendation; Resume; Detailed budget outlining expenses and income.
