Description

Investigators who are US citizens or permanent residents and within four years of receiving a doctoral degree can apply for American Cancer Society Postdoctoral Fellowships. Postdoctoral Fellowships (PF) support new investigators in research training programs to to position them for independent careers in cancer research. As part of their evaluation, peer reviewers consider how well the fellowship will broaden the applicant's research training and experience. Eligible applicants must work at a US academic institution or eligible non-profit, be US citizens or permanent residents, and not have a faculty appointment (e.g., instructor, research assistant professor). The application deadlines will vary, depending on which term is being applied for. The number of recipients will also vary. At the American Cancer Society, we're on a mission to free the world from cancer. Until we do, we'll be funding and conducting research, sharing expert information, supporting patients, and spreading the word about prevention. All so you can live longer- and better. Whether we're working in a community near you or one halfway around the world, our mission remains the same: to save lives, celebrate lives, and lead the fight for a world without cancer. See what we've been up to lately — and get to know the American Cancer Society a little bit better.
