Applicants of the AMS Named Scholarships must be majoring in atmospheric or related oceanic and hydrologic science and must show clear intent to make the atmospheric or related sciences their career. Applicants must be enrolled full time in an accredited U.S. institution and must have a cumulative grade point average of at least a 3.0 on a scale of 4.0 at the time of application. Applicants must demonstrate financial need to be eligible to apply for the Schroeder scholarship if sponsored for that year. Applicants must be entering his or her final undergraduate year in the upcoming fall semester to be eligible to apply.
