The Atkinson Scholarship Program is available to residents of Sudbury, Massachusetts and their dependents, seniors attending Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School, or dependents of employees of the Town of Sudbury or Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School. Students who demonstrate financial need and merit are welcome to apply. The Atkinson Scholarship Program was established in 1995 to recognize local high school seniors with financial need, academic promise and the capacity to make a meaningful contribution to society. The program awards scholarships of up to $7,500 per year; recipients may reapply for three additional years of support for a total of up to $30,000. The application deadline for seniors graduating in 2026 was February 1, 2026; the application for students graduating in 2027 will be available in October 2026. Candidates must be a high school senior planning to attend an accredited two- or four-year college or university, or an approved post-secondary vocational/professional development program. Required application materials include a high school transcript, list of extracurricular activities and work experiences since 9th grade, two short-answer essays, one college application essay, two letters of recommendation, family financial information, and a copy of the FAFSA Submission Summary (FSS); a resume is optional.
