The Charles B. Wang Excellence in Equine and Agricultural Involvement Scholarship offers merit-based financial assistance for college to American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA) or American Quarter Horse Youth Association (AQHYA) members demonstrating financial need. High school seniors or undergraduates who have participated in equine or agricultural activities seeking a bachelor's degree are welcome to apply. Award amount: $25,000. Submitted materials must include a completed application form with financial information, resume, three reference letters or appraisal forms, and a high school or college transcript. Members must apply during their senior year of high school or while enrolled at an accredited college or university. Ideal candidates are a current AQHYA or AQHA member who exemplifies the characteristics of leadership and excellence acquired through participation in equine and or agriculture activities; demonstrates academic proficiency, and does not compete in AQHA-approved shows. This scholarship is a career path scholarship for fields such as agriculture, animal science, ranching and veterinary medicine. Current or previous AQHF scholarship recipients are not eligible. Application deadline: January 15, 2026.
