Clair A. Hill Scholarship

The Clair A. Hill Scholarship provides financial assistance to upper-division students from California who are pursuing an undergraduate degree in a water resources-related field of study. Applicant must be a California resident attending an accredited public or private California college at the start of the academic year, must be at least a junior at the start of the academic year covered by the scholarship, and must commit to full-time enrollment (12 semester units or 16 quarter units) for the entire academic year covered by the scholarship. The scholarship is awarded in engineering, agricultural and/or urban water supply, environmental studies, or public administration. Applicants must submit an essay responding to a specific prompt (no more than 1,000 words), at least two current letters of recommendation (no more than three), and official transcripts for each college attended. The award is sponsored by Jacobs and provides one $5,000 scholarship each year, with funds disbursed to the Financial Aid Office in a lump sum and applied to the student's account for tuition and fees.
