The WTS Foundation awards scholarships to students pursuing careers in transportation through undergraduate and graduate programs. The scholarships are competitive and based on the applicant's specific transportation goals, academic record and transportation-related activities or job skills. Minority candidates are encouraged to apply.Scholarship Details• WTS Foundation offers scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students aiming to build careers in transportation.• These scholarships are highly competitive, rewarding applicants based on their transportation aspirations, academic achievements, and involvement in transportation-related activities or job roles.• Special emphasis is placed on encouraging minority candidates to apply, contributing to diversity and inclusivity in the transportation sector.Eligibility Criteria• Applicants for the Gail Achterman Leadership Scholarship should be enrolled in a junior college/trade school program, undergraduate, or graduate degree program focused on transportation-related fields like transportation engineering, planning, finance, communications, operations, or logistics.• Eligible students must attend school in Oregon or Southwest Washington.• Must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0Application Process1. Applicants must be currently enrolled in a junior college/trade school program, undergraduate or graduate degree program in a transportation-related field such as transportation engineering, planning, finance, communications, operations or logistics, attending school in Oregon or Southwest Washington, and with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
