We strive to empower underserved students with the potential and passion to pursue higher education in specific areas by providing them with the necessary means to address their community's intricate social and financial problems. Each year, we give out scholarships based on assessments of need, excellence, community involvement, and their chosen academic institution. Scholarship applications are now open from April 15 through July 13, 2026. The For A Bright Future Foundation offers several scholarship programs: STEM Scholarship (science, technology, engineering, mathematics, or sustainability); Dr. Emma Lerew Scholarship (education); Healthcare Scholarship (healthcare careers); Veterans & Family Scholarship (military veterans and their families pursuing education, STEM, or sustainability); Single Parent Household Scholarship (students from single-parent households or single parents themselves pursuing education, STEM, or sustainability); Fintech Program (financial technology); and Creative Arts Scholarship (creative media and storytelling). Each scholarship supports underrepresented and underprivileged exceptional students pursuing a degree at an accredited college or university in the United States. Eligibility Criteria • Must be an underrepresented or underprivileged student. • Must be pursuing a degree at an accredited college or university in the United States. • Minimum grade point average above 3.0. • Annual income of $50,000 or less. • Specific scholarships have additional criteria related to field of study or background (e.g., military, single-parent household). • Students must have finished secondary education (twelve grade), obtained an advanced degree, or be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program. Application Process 1. Prepare all required documents, including academic transcripts, proof of enrollment, and letters of recommendation. 2. Write a personal statement / requested essay highlighting your academic and career goals and how the scholarship will support your journey. 3. Complete the online scholarship application form. 4. Submit the application and all supporting documents by the deadline of July 13, 2026 at 11:59 PM (EDT). The award amount is determined by the Parent Board based on the applicant's financial need and can be up to $10,000. Payments are made by check and mailed directly to the college or university of attendance. Recipients are notified by October of the current year.
