The Montine McDaniel Freeman Scholarship aims to promote the understanding, development, and use of underutilized native plants. Scholarship Details • Funds one or more scholarships annually at a minimum of $3,000 • Supports study at accredited colleges, universities, or major botanic gardens or arboreta • Research and projects may include plant propagation, working with native plant collections, and managed landscape techniques • Selection conducted by a committee chaired by a Scholarship Vice Chair Eligibility Criteria • Open to U.S. citizens and permanent residents • Currently and actively enrolled in a U.S.-based institution • Eligible applicants include college undergraduates, graduate students, advanced degree candidates, and non-degree seeking students above high school level • Scholarship is not available to international applicants Application Process 1.
