Georgia McHugh Scholarship

Georgia McHugh Scholarship provides financial assistance to students from San Francisco, California who plan to attend college in the state. The scholarship recognizes high school senior girls or female identified people who have demonstrated outstanding scholastic achievements, leadership and community service. Every year Soroptimist International of San Francisco awards one to two scholarships in the amount of $5,000. Recipients of the scholarship will also be mentored by club members during their entire college career. Applicants must have a GPA of 2.75 or higher, be able to demonstrate financial need, and plan to attend an accredited four-year college or university in California. Selection is based on financial need (40%), academic record (30%), and participation in school and community activities (30%). A Student Aid Report from FAFSA or College Scholarship Service is required. The application period for the 2026 cycle opens January 1, 2026 and closes March 31, 2026.
