Giangrande Family Scholarship

The Giangrande Family Scholarship is available to residents of Lawrence, Massachusetts. Graduating seniors attending a private high school and undergraduate students who attend or plan to attend a college, university, trade, or vocational school are eligible to apply. Preference is given to students living in homes developed by Bread & Roses Housing, current participants or graduates of Si, Se Puede Lawrence, or residents of the Lawrence Housing Authority. Applications are available on March 1 of each year, with a deadline of April 30. To request an application, the student should email GFscholars@gmail.com. Eligible applicants include students in Grade 8 who have been accepted to a tuition-based high school, students currently attending a tuition-based high school, high school seniors who have been accepted to a college, young people enrolled in a full time post-high school certificate program, and current full time college students (ages 17–24). In addition to academic record and the quality of short essay questions, applicants' experience of and commitment to community service and giving back to others will be considered when choosing a Giangrande Family Scholar.
