Throughout their generosity, Calvin University offers different types of scholarships. The Gordon and Eleanor Spykman Memorial Scholarship encourages students to explore the implications of Jesus Christ's claim on every square inch of creation, in all spheres of life. Applicants must be entering their junior or senior year, have a minimum 3.0 GPA, demonstrate an interest in a reformational worldview and be pursuing religious students. Financial need is highly taken into consideration. The award amount is $2,600 and the application deadline is January 20, 2026. Applicants must submit a one to two page statement describing their interest in a reformational worldview and a statement of a world and life view as taught at Calvin University. Students who wish to be considered for renewal must file a new application each year.
