IHLAEF Scholarship

IHLAEF Scholarship provides financial assistance to residents of Illinois who are enrolled or planning to enroll in a hospitality management program at a college or university in any state. Each year, the IHLAEF awards academic scholarships of $1,500 to $10,000 per academic year to college students pursuing hospitality management degrees. Applicants must either be attending an Illinois college or university, or be an Illinois resident attending a college or university anywhere in the United States. To be eligible, applicants must meet one of the following: pursue a hospitality-related career; be a current IHLA member hotel employee (undergraduate or graduate student pursuing any degree); or be a dependent of a current IHLA member hotel employee (undergraduate student pursuing any degree). The 2026-2027 School Year Scholarship Application Has Closed. Applicants will be notified of their application status by June 1, 2026.
