Since 2009, ISF has provided scholarships for students pursuing careers in media, communications, and writing to help shape public opinion and policy. These scholarships, ranging from $3,000 to $5,000, aim to improve media portrayals of Muslims, increase Muslim representation in policymaking, and support the creation of positive stories about American Muslims. Scholarship Details • Scholarships range from $3,000 to $5,000 • Supports students pursuing media-related fields • Goal is to improve Muslim representation in media and policy • Funds full-time undergraduate juniors and seniors, as well as graduate students Eligibility Criteria • Must be Muslim or an active member of the Muslim community • Must be enrolled full-time at an accredited U.S. university by August OR be a full-time employee in an ISF-supported field while studying part-time • Must be an undergraduate junior or senior, or a graduate student (master's, PhD, or law degree) • Must be studying an ISF-supported major • Must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA • Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or DACA recipient Application Process 1. Complete the online application form. 2. Submit a resume detailing academic and professional experience. 3. Provide a video introduction. 4. Answer essay questions as part of the application. 5. Upload official college transcripts. 6. Submit work samples relevant to media and journalism. 7. Provide two letters of recommendation from a professor, mentor, religious leader, or employer.
