Jim Gallaspy Student Leadership Scholarship

The Jim Gallaspy Student Leadership Scholarship is available to undergraduate and graduate students who are members of the NATA and Southeast Athletic Trainers' Association (SEATA) and who reside in District IX. Students planning to pursue postsecondary education in athletic training or an affiliated degree will be considered. The scholarship award is $500. Eligibility: applicants must be a current NATA member residing within SEATA / District 9 of the NATA, have at least a "B" average in their overall curriculum, have unmet financial need, be sponsored by a SEATA member in good standing with both the NATA and BOC, and have a character reference from a SEATA member in good standing with both the NATA and BOC. Applicants, AT Sponsor, and AT Character Reference MUST each have an NPI number. Recipients must be enrolled in a CAATE-accredited Professional Program. Scholarship awards will apply to the current academic year (Spring term). Applications are accepted August 1 through September 15 each year (11:59 pm CST). District 9 states: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands.
