Each year, scholarships are awarded by the Foundation to undergraduate students specializing in some phase of Floriculture. The object of the awards is to encourage good students to enter the domestic floriculture field; therefore, applicants should intend to work in some phase of Commercial Floriculture in the United States after graduation. Scholarship Details • Scholarships awarded to students specializing in floriculture • Award amounts range from $1,000 to $7,000 • Outright grants with no repayment required • Funds must be applied to the coming academic year Eligibility Criteria • Open to students entering or attending a two or four-year college or university, or first year of graduate school • Must be pursuing studies in floriculture, horticulture, or a closely related field • Preference given to upper division applicants specializing in floriculture • Evaluation based on academic performance, financial need, work status, character, and intent Application Process 1. Complete the scholarship application 2. Submit letters of recommendation and transcripts 3. Ensure application, letters, and transcripts are received by April 25th Scholarship awards generally range from $500 - $7,000. Each student who wins a scholarship will be notified by mail. Previous applicants and former recipients may re-apply in future years by submitting an updated application packet.
