The Marilynn Thoma Pre-doctoral Fellowship in Art of the Spanish Americas is available to students who are seeking a Ph.D. in art history, history, architectural history, religion, or a related field. Applicants will be required to submit a proposal on Art of the Spanish Americas in reference to painting or sculpture. Students demonstrating the ability to communicate and conduct research in English and Spanish will be considered. Special consideration is given to projects specific to the history of painting and sculpture in viceregal South America.
