Mary John Goree Las Animas County Scholarship

The Mary John Goree Las Animas County Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors who live in Las Anima County, Colorado. The scholarship honors academically successful students. Students seeking a bachelor's degree at a 4-year institution are eligible to apply. The Mary John Goree Las Animas County Scholarship Foundation grants scholarships to enable residents of Las Animas County, Colorado to complete an undergraduate education in the field of their choice at any accredited four-year college or university in the United States (other than Princeton University, for which a sister scholarship is available). All recipients receive a minimum award that equals or exceeds full tuition and fees, with the possibility of an additional award for room, board, travel and other expenses based upon financial need. Candidates go through a rigorous application and interview process. For the 2025-2026 cycle, the application opens on October 16, 2025, with a submission deadline of December 4, 2025, 3:00 p.m. Central. Recommendations and supporting documents are due by December 9, 2025, 3:00 p.m. Central.
