Merritt Brook Scholarship

The Merritt Brook Scholarship was set up to serve graduating students with a minimum 2.5 GPA from accredited Idaho high schools in the Magic Valley, including Blaine, Camas, Cassia, Gooding, Jerome, Lincoln, Minidoka and Twin Falls counties. The Merritt Brook Scholarship provides financial assistance to graduating high school seniors from Blaine, Camas, Cassia, Gooding, Jerome, Lincoln, Minidoka, or Twin Falls counties in Idaho. Students planning to attend a college or university in the U.S. are encouraged to apply. Applicants should have a clearly defined goal for college and plan to attend any accredited 2-4 year college or university in the United States. Scholarship awards are generally made for the initial year of college but multi-year awards may also be considered at the discretion of the scholarship committee upon the student's continued academic performance. Returning applicants are given equal consideration. In each annual cycle, the scholarship typically awards between $3,000 and $5,000 to two to three scholarship recipients. Applicants should coordinate with their high school guidance counselors to prepare an application package consisting of a completed application form (signed and dated), a copy of the most recent high school transcript, report card, or college transcript, an essay on the topic described in the application form, and letter(s) of recommendation.
