Description

The Park Scholarships Program is awarded to exceptional incoming first-year students attending North Carolina State University. Selection is based on outstanding accomplishments and potential in scholarship, leadership, service, and character. Program benefits include mentoring, retreats, seminars, learning labs, and a leadership academy. The application for 2026-2027 will open in mid-August. Eligibility Requirements: candidates must have a minimum unweighted GPA of 3.80 (non-rounded); be a United States citizen, permanent resident of the U.S., or graduating from a high school located in the U.S. (regardless of citizenship status); apply for fall, first-year admission into a baccalaureate program at NC State; the program is not open to transfer students. By 11:59 pm ET on November 1, applicants must apply for undergraduate admission to NC State and complete the Park Scholarships application. The Park Scholarships application requires two recommendations, information about advanced coursework completed, and two essays. From the NC State admission application, the committee also reviews activities and honors, personal essay, NC State's short-answer essays, NC State's optional short answer essays, transcript, and ACT and/or SAT scores (test scores are not required for the Park Scholarships application).
