The Texas MyImpact Challenge Civics Fair and Pitch Competition is a state civic engagement contest and civics fair hosted in Texas by the Bill of Rights Institute in partnership with Citizens Travelers. On September 13th, Texas students will have an opportunity to share their projects in-person during the Civics Fair at the Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museums for a chance to win up to $2,000 in prizes.Scholarship Details• Challenge takes place at the Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum• 4 main awards are available: 1st place: $2,000 2nd place: $1,500 3rd place: $1,000 4th place: $500• 1st place: $2,000• 2nd place: $1,500• 3rd place: $1,000• 4th place: $500• Pitch competition also offers up to $250 in seed funding for project ideas• Participants in the Texas contest are also eligible for the national contest• National contest awards include $40,000 in total prizes, with a $10,000 grand prize for the top student projectEligibility Criteria• Residence in Texas• Age 13-19• Involvement in civic service, volunteerism, or entrepreneurship• Willing to participate in-person at the Civics Fair or Pitch Competition on September 13thApplication Process1. Develop and prepare a civic engagement project or idea2. Register for either the Civics Fair or Pitch Competition through the Bill of Rights Institute3. Submit required application details before the registration deadline4. Attend and present your project in-person at the Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum on September 13th5. Compete for cash prizes at the state level and qualify for the national MyImpact ChallengeAre you a student already making an impact? Show it off! Apply to showcase your project for a chance to win up to $2,000 dollars. Bring your community service, volunteer, or entrepreneurship project. Create a simple trifold display explaining your project and give a 60–90 second pitch to our judges.
