TRCF Scholarship
$5,000
Award AmountFeb 28, 2027
DeadlineDescription
The TRCF Scholarship provides financial assistance to cancer survivors or current patients undergoing treatment. Students seeking a trade, associate, or bachelor's degree are welcome to apply. Financial need is considered in the selection process. Applicants must be U.S. residents ages 17 to 26, enrolled or accepted full-time (24 credit hours per year) at an accredited undergraduate college, university, or trade school in the United States or Puerto Rico. Students at any academic level may apply, not just incoming freshmen. Scholarship awards vary in amount from $2,000 to $3,500 to $5,000 based on financial need and the impact of disease. The application opens each December and must be submitted by the following March. Required documents include a verification of cancer diagnosis letter, a copy of the applicant's (or their parents', if claimed as a dependent) most recent Tax Return, proof of acceptance or enrollment at the university of choice, and a recent school transcript. Recipients are notified in August, and scholarship checks are paid directly to the university. Students who are not selected are welcome to reapply in subsequent cycles.
