VSA Playwright Discovery Competition

Young writers with disabilities (generally, ages 14-19) enrolled in high school are invited to submit a 'ten-minute script'. Entries may be the work of an individual student or a collaboration of two students that includes at least one student with a disability. A panel of theater professionals selects winners. Scholarship Details • Open to young writers with disabilities, ages 14-19 • Submission of a ten-minute script • Individual or collaborative entries (at least one student with a disability) • Winners receive exclusive access to professional development activities Eligibility Criteria • Enrolled in high school, generally aged 14-19 • Must have a disability • Entries can be in various formats, including non-traditional ones • Co-authored entries accepted Application Process 1. Submit a ten-minute script by Wednesday, January 8th, at 11:59 pm ET 2. Entries can be in traditional text, video, or audio formats 3. Co-authored entries should have both writers enrolled in high school, with at least one having a disability 4. International applicants are welcome, and all materials must be in English or ASL
