The Wings Over America Scholarship for Dependents is available to dependent children of active duty, retired, honorably discharged, or deceased Enlisted or Officer U.S. Navy personnel who serve or have served in U.S. Navy Aviation. Students seeking a professional certification, associate, or bachelor's degree are eligible to apply. The Foundation also welcomes spouses and grandchildren of U.S. Navy aviation personnel. Each scholarship is $5,000, with a minimum of 50 awarded annually and some renewable. Awards cover tuition and mandatory fees only. Eligible programs include trade and technical certification, community college (AA/AS/AAS/AGS), and four-year colleges and universities (BS/BA). Applications are evaluated through a blind review process based on academic achievement, community service, extracurricular involvement, and character.
