The Wisconsin Space Grant Consortium (WSGC) awards scholarships of $3,000 (subject to availability of funds) to outstanding undergraduates pursuing STEM studies aligned with NASA Mission Directorates. WSGC invites high school seniors and undergraduate students attending two- and four-year academic institutions to apply for the Undergraduate Scholarship. Applicants who meet the following requirements can apply: be a citizen of the United States; be a Wisconsin resident during the academic year; be enrolled full-time in (or admitted/applied to) a WSGC member college or university; have at least a 3.0 GPA (applications below 3.0 considered individually); and plan on pursuing STEM-related studies supporting NASA Mission Directorates. This scholarship is offered twice a year (Spring and Fall cycles), so deadlines will vary. A technical advisory panel selects award winners based on academic performance and demonstrated interest in pursuing a STEM career, with primary consideration given to first-time Undergraduate Scholarship awardees. Supporting materials required with the application include a two-page statement (addressing why you seek this scholarship, past STEM experiences, current STEM interests linked to NASA Mission Directorates, and planned STEM-related program of study), a high school transcript (incoming freshmen only), and the most recent college transcript (unofficial accepted; not required for incoming freshmen).
