The W.W. Allen Boys and Girls Club Scholars Program (BGC Scholars) at OSU awards an incoming freshman between $19,000-$55,000 per year for up to four years of study toward a BS degree in engineering. This includes an OSU tuition waiver between $4,000-$40,000 and an annual CEAT Scholarship of $15,000. Additionally, each scholar will participate in funded enrichment, travel and networking opportunities. This scholarship program was designed to benefit a person who was an active member of a Boys & Girls Club while in high school.Scholarship Details• Annual award of $15,000 from CEAT Scholarship• OSU tuition waiver between $4,000 and $40,000 per year• Total annual value: $19,000–$55,000• Funding for enrichment, travel, and networking opportunities• Participation in the CEAT Scholars program communityEligibility Criteria• Must be an incoming freshman admitted to Oklahoma State University• Demonstrated leadership in high school organizations• Capacity to succeed in an engineering program• Preference given to students with a minimum 3.0 GPA• Active involvement in local Boys and Girls ClubsScholarship Benefits• Scholarship awards of $15,000 annually• Visits to top engineering corporate facilities and leaders• 8–10 day domestic travel experience• 10–12 day international tour of industrial and cultural sites• Professional mentorship• Participation in leadership and teamwork development activitiesProgram Purpose• Accelerate professional and leadership development• Stimulate intellectual growth• Develop career awareness and cultural perspectives• Enhance interpersonal skills• Provide financial support for Boys and Girls Club members pursuing engineering careersThe purposes of this program are: to accelerate professional and leadership development, stimulate intellectual growth, develop career awareness and cultural perspectives, and develop interpersonal skills; as well as to provide financial enrichment to students actively involved in local Boys and Girls Clubs, who desire to pursue a career in the engineering industry. Eligible applicants must have a history of leadership in one or more organizations in high school. Preference will be given to students with at least a 3.0 GPA.
