Welcome to the YES Competition, where high school juniors and seniors with a passion for epidemiology can turn their research dreams into reality! We are thrilled to offer nearly $500,000 in college scholarships annually, empowering 120 high school students to pursue their academic aspirations. Scholarship Highlights: Awards: YES grants scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $50,000. Eligibility: High school juniors and seniors. Outstanding research projects using epidemiological methods. Competition Journey: Submission Phase: Students submit outstanding research projects showcasing their epidemiological prowess. Regional Recognition: Of the submissions, 60 students are named regional finalists, earning the chance to shine on a national stage. YES National Event: A grand opportunity awaits! The YES National Event in Washington, D.C., gathers regional finalists to present their research to distinguished judges, including leading epidemiologists and educators. Top Scholars Advance: The top 12 YES Scholars advance to the national finals, competing for scholarships ranging from $15,000 to $50,000. Honoring Excellence: Even beyond the top 12, 60 semifinalists receive well-deserved scholarship awards of $1,000. National Event in Washington, D.C.: Mark your calendars for the YES National Event in April, where innovation meets recognition. This is your chance to showcase your research, engage with esteemed judges, and join a community passionate about epidemiology. Eligibility Criteria: To be part of this transformative experience, applicants must be a citizen or permanent resident of the U.S. or associated territories, including Puerto Rico, Guam, U.S. Virgin Islands, American Samoa, Midway, Wake Island, or the Mariana Islands.
