LPEA Scholarship

LPEA Scholarship provides financial assistance to residents of the service area of the La Plata Electric Association (LPEA) in Colorado who are interested in attending college in any state. The LPEA Scholarship offers $7,000 per year for four years — for students attending any U.S. college or university (total $28,000). The John Voelker Memorial Scholarship offers $5,000 per year for two years — for students attending a U.S. vocational school, technical school, or community college (total $10,000). The LPEA Lineworker Scholarship offers $12,000 for one year — for students enrolling in an accredited U.S. electrical lineworker program. Scholarship applications open December 1, 2025. The application deadline for all scholarships is March 1, 2026.
