The International Interior Design Association's Rocky Mountain Chapter is pleased to open the application period for the inaugural year of the Elevate Scholarship. This new scholarship opportunity is intended to celebrate diversity within the Commercial Design Industry & support a pathway to the profession for emerging design talent. Scholarship Details • Two scholarships of $7,500 each awarded in 2025 • Funds paid directly to the recipient's post-secondary institution • Funds may be used for tuition, housing, supplies, or related program expenses • Recipients will be invited to attend the Elevate: Silent Auction Gala in November • All applicants notified of award status by October 20th Eligibility Criteria • Must identify as BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, or Person of Color) • Must be a recent high school graduate or incoming high school senior from Colorado, Wyoming, or Montana • Must intend to enroll in an accredited 2-year or 4-year post-secondary program in Fall • Program of study must be in Interior Design, Architecture, or Environmental Design • Program does not need to be located in the Rocky Mountain Region Application Process 1. Obtain one official high school transcript 2. Secure one letter of recommendation from a teacher, mentor, coach, employer, or other non-related adult 3. Respond to the required essay prompt in 500 words 4. Optionally include 1–3 examples of creative work demonstrating your passion for design 5. Email all application materials as attachments by October 10th, at 11:59 PM MST This year, we will be awarding (2) Elevate Scholarships each with a monetary amount of $7,500 paid directly to the institution where the recipient plans to enroll. All funds are eligible to be used for tuition, housing, supplies & other associated program expenses.
