Description

The Flinn Scholarship is available to Arizona high-school seniors who are planning to attend one of the three Arizona public universities. Students who demonstrate leadership in extracurricular activities are eligible to apply. The Flinn Scholarship — valued at more than $135,000 — covers tuition, fees, housing, and meals at Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University, or the University of Arizona, plus study abroad. Each year, about 20 top Arizona high-school seniors are chosen to learn from amazing faculty, business leaders, and civic innovators and join a vibrant, eclectic community — including a powerful alumni network. The scholarship is merit-based; criteria such as grade-point average and class rank play a part in the selection process, but they are not the sole basis for decisions. Selection evaluates academic achievement, leadership and involvement, service to the community, ability to communicate, and personal characteristics. The 2027 Flinn Scholarship application opens in August 2026.
